When and Why Professional Yard Cleanup Matters
Seasonal yard cleanup is one of the most impactful services a property owner in Happy Valley, OR can invest in. After fall leaf drop, accumulated leaf matter on turf creates anaerobic conditions that suffocate grass, trap moisture that promotes fungal disease, and block sunlight from reaching the turf canopy during the limited winter sun hours. Similarly, spring cleanup after winter dormancy removes dead plant material, debris blown in by seasonal winds, and the accumulated thatch that builds up at the soil surface over the cold months. Removing this material early in spring gives the turf a clean growing environment and allows fertilization treatments to penetrate efficiently.
Kelly Landscaping's yard cleanup crews in Happy Valley, OR are thorough and systematic. We do not simply blow leaves to the property edge and consider the job done. Our cleanup process includes hand raking under shrubs and in tight planting areas where blowers cannot reach effectively, removal of all dead annual plant material from garden beds, trimming of ornamental grasses and herbaceous perennials to their appropriate winter or spring heights, and blowing or vacuuming of all hard surfaces including driveways, walkways, and patios. All debris is collected, bagged, and hauled away from the property as part of our standard cleanup service.
Beyond seasonal cleanups, we also provide post-storm yard cleanup services for Happy Valley, OR properties that have experienced significant branch falls, debris scattering, or damage from severe weather events. Our post-storm response crews assess the damage, remove debris safely, and document any structural damage to trees or landscape features that may require follow-up attention from arborists or other specialists. For properties on our regular maintenance programs, post-storm cleanup is handled at preferential rates with priority scheduling.
